Look there!
The Moon.
How softly she lies in the night sky,
a heavenly queen reigning over her dark kingdom.
How pure, how gentle ... silent.
See how she blankets her glow
like a silken veil over the dark and foreboding world.
Look how, like magic, shadows soften,
shapes melt into one another as in some
mythical fairy land.
Oh how subtly, perfectly, completely she has
changed the world.
The seas rise at her presencs.
I want the moon for my own.
"Fool!", I cry in my heart, "no man can own the Moon".
Yet if wishing and dreaming are foolish,
then a fool I will forever be.
