Wolf spirit

In many tribal cultures, cultures far closer to nature than our modern way of living, Vikings, Native Americans, Aboriginese, Mongolean, the various tribes of Africa, the Mayan people, among countless others. It was believed that people could be born with strong spiritual connections to and possessing of the traits of certain animals.
Often their tribal names would reflect the qualities of their spirit and their personalities, "White Wolf", "Grey Elk", "Wise Bear".
Our spirit animals can teach us much about ourselves if we let them in.
I believe there are two spirits that reside within me, one is that of a man, the other is that of a black wolf with piercing eyes, a silent observer, a protector, a fighter if need be, one that values freedom and the cause of good, one that seems to be destined to walk always alone.
In these modern times we are called "furries", or "therians" or some such other, I refuse to label myself as such. I am wolf and man
