1. Always assume people are playing self-insertions of their idealized real life selves instead of actual characters.

2. Always assume that OOC friendships translate into ic alliances.

3. Always prepare to see the OOC friendships dissolve if the above isn't followed by yourself.

4. Accept that inevitably, any community you roleplay in will oocly start assuming you and your character are one and the same.

5. Accept that Second Life relationships are inherently flawed; and statistically doomed to failure - yes, some rare few take it to real life, but you're likely not gonna be that lucky.

6. Never icly try and plot against or attempt to overthrow a sim staff member in a position of IC power- even if they say its okay, it never is.
