Mutual relationships. While they may not be equal in giving, they are equal in sacrifice. Some CAN give more than others. Give more time, give more emotionally, etc. Weigh the sacrifice because here, both feel valued and supported.
Neutral relationships. Meaning we are here but we are not adding value to each other. These relationships leave us needing more and eventually become stagnant and unproductive.
Parasitic relationships. One always gives and the other always takes. These drain the giver while the parasite continues to only take. These relationships often hurt the most. The giver cares. They build up, add too and put their all in. The parasite continues to take until the giver has no more to give.
The most valuable thing we can give another human being is our time. Once given, it is gone forever. Be aware of the type of relationship you invest your time in. Except people as they are but place them where they belong. You are the CEO of your life. Hire, fire and promote accordingly.
