Getting naked. That’s easy to do. Especially in sl where our bodies are a reflection of our individual ideas of perfection. If there are flaws, we have placed them there to give an illusion of realism. In rl, for many, that is a harder task. Clothes often hide the things we don’t want the world to see.

We do the same emotionally and mentally. We hide those things that causes guilt, shame, fear and those negative emotion that make us feel vulnerable. They are hidden behind a door in the recesses of our mind, locked up tight.

True nakedness is not just the clothes coming off. It is those doors once locked so tightly coming open and sharing that which you hide. When you can stand before someone, completely naked and unashamed, in every sense of the word, you have found someone that goes beyond a lover, beyond a confidant, beyond a best friend. You have found the ultimate level of trust and a whole new level of intimacy that few are fortunate enough to find.
