US Army Ranger
Where The Heart Is, Honah Lee Point (55.8189,143.14,2801.42)
There are few things we do in life that have such a profound impact on you, that they tend to almost define who you are. While I am many other things, I am a US Army Ranger with combat experience in I don't know how many countries off the top of my head. I have spent considerable time throughout the middle east, africa, and europe both training the soldiers of other nations & aiding those who have needed my help.
While there are problems with the reasons we go places often times (blame that on politicians), when we are there we do our best to help those we are able. From rescuing hostages, to guarding humanitarian aid convoys in Somalia, to training and aiding the kurds in northern Iraq. I am proud of the things I did, not for my country, but for other human beings.
Any asshole who says "we otta just carpet bomb them" about any people have my utter contempt, beyond anything I can write. I have met wonderful people everywhere I have been, even in the middle of the worst civil wars.
