i have a very difficult time approaching new people for reasons that i dont/cant go into and im very guarded until i know someone well enough to be comfortable around them

its made meeting new people very hard but it keeps me safe assuming that anyone who doesnt talk to me doesnt want to

and if i even get a hint that someone doesnt want to talk to me i leave them alone as a rule

so if youre wondering why im quiet/stick to the sidelines there you go
