I do voice with men that I feel instinctive ease with. I can usually tell in 5 minutes on chat whether they'll ever hear my voice outside a recording or not. I certainly don't like being tricked into voicing. "Just to say hello."

I have learned to trust my instinct on Second Life, too. I gave a lot of people a few too many chances to be one of the right ones. In real life you can tell in 3 seconds, but how do you trust it in a digital world? And still, you know. A guy walks in and you know he can be the biggest prick in the world and you don't care - or at least care so much you stop hoping one day he'll stop being a dick.
