02. Perma RLV - The Lie

I have tested multiple full-time RLV viewers—Marine’s RLV, Kokua, and currently Alchemy. No matter which one I used, I always found ways to break free. The truth is, permanent RLV is an illusion. No system in Second Life can truly keep someone locked away forever.

RLV was originally designed to create real control, but over time, it became nothing more than a roleplay tool. That’s why I call it Restrained Play Viewer (RPV) instead. True inescapability is impossible because of viewer-side limitations, and early trolls and griefers ensured that developers prioritized safety over absolute captivity.

For those who truly crave to be completely and permanently locked away, this reality is frustrating. There are no true alternatives left—no way to be truly bound while still using a modern, functional viewer. Knowing this was a harsh realization for me. One of my deepest desires is to be inescapably locked away, but no system can provide that absolute security. And that’s something I’ve had to accep.
