Kron's story 1

Born in a sa-tarna field outside of Piedmont to a peasant mother and a tavern-keep father, Kron was a slow child, whose sadistic father locked him in a barn for most of his childhood, ashamed of his son who could not speak, and only grunted in response to being tossed scraps fed to the tarsk.

Kron's brother Nate was the one who kept him sane, sneaking in to play the kalika at night, teaching Kron to play the drum.

When the boys were of an age, they ran away and would beg for coin traveling town to town, playing music, until Nate companioned another musician, a flute player, and eventually they went on their way without the angry young Kron, who took a job in a tavern at Genesian Port, bought himself a slave, and began to learn to speak.

Kron's life took him from Genesian Port, to Brundisium, to Port Thassa and then to Svago, running the Collar and Chain tavern and only barely keeping alive through various escapades, doing shady deals and winning and losing games of chance in the back rooms.
