Promises was created out of a need for "pets" and "slaves" to have a safe haven after escaping a bad situation. We offer peer counselling and the support of a community that knows what it's like to be abused or abandoned. Everyone is welcome here, including those Owners and Masters who are willing to adopt and care for someone.

Back in the day I had gotten into a D/s group. Ended up being a sub to a mistress I thought cared about me. It became painfully obvious after 18 months that she didn't and I was beaten one day for a simple mistake. When she grabbed a knife I wrestled it from her and fought my way free and never looked back.

Years later I created a group on IRC to help subs, pets, and slaves escape such hells and find Doms, Owners, and Masters who would care for them. My friends and I named it "Promises". While the location of Promises may have changed or expanded, it's mission still remains the same; To help those abused by the ones they put their trust in.
