These lands appear for such a short time
The rest of the year, they are on my mind
Ever-changing behind the curtains of mist
Ever more fantastical and magic-kissed
This place is ephemeral, it is my soul's home
I spend the year dreaming, wherever I roam
Of when mists recede and we dance again
Of light and hope and memories on the wind

My words are part of the fabric of the place now, and will retreat into the mists with it. It's fitting, because it always feels like a part of me vanishes into those mists every year. I eventually find it, for a short while, but it comes back changed. And the space between always seems a little emptier.
