The Fall of the Titans
They were heavy, dense
Mighty!...
And now…
They turn around and spin
And sometimes collide
In the Kuiper Belt…
In their circular orbits
Their blind eyes
Ignore blue Neptune
Rough Pluto
Icy Charon…
Their bodies are cold
Became metal or rock or frozen clay
Materia Prima concealing Life
… Perhaps… Or perhaps not?…
…Life that, upon the random happenstance of a comet or a meteorite
In a few billion years will hatch
In the fertile lap of another Earth…
… Another Terra
Waiting impatiently their seed…
Once upon a time…
The Titans…
