The Confederate Flag represented the belief that White Men had the right to keep black slaves. Flying it means that you support what this flag stands for, no different than flying a swaztika.

The Battle Flag of the Republic is the flag White Supremacists flew as they commited treason against thier country and killed thier fellow Americans so that they might continue to enslave the Black People
